Jim Bartlett

Jim Bartlett was one of many unaffiliated freelancers who worked in Croatia and Bosnia during the war, and afterward. "I was a good photographer, but realistically had little or no idea of how to be a photojournalist. I was fortunate enough to find many good mentors, and a lot of support from the people of Croatia and Bosnia. They get a lions share of the credit for this body of work. Looking back through these images, it's staggers the mind to see just how young most of us were." Jim recently compiled a photo memoir of his time there, titled, "Kill Thy Neighbor: Bosnia 1992-98.
